Fabulous performance of Swan Lake by the Ukrainian State Ballet. What an experience to witness this renowned ballet beautifully performed by dancers whose country is at war.
Ushers did not restrict movement of individuals amid musical numbers, but patrons tromped in and out, up and down stairs throughout the performance.
Someone controlling the lights kept bringing the house lights up at inappropriate times in the middle of a scene.
Patrons did not seem to have a sense of when it was appropriate to applaud and hesitated to laud the magnificent artistry and athleticism. One worthy soloist was not applauded at all.
Canned music...was this mentioned in ticket sale? It was disappointing to not have a live orchestra to accompany these masterful dancers.
Programs would certainly have enhanced this quality performance. The ballet event itself was phenomenal, despite multiple distractions.
The Saenger features some of the biggest stars in a more exclusive venue.
The venue was inviting and clean, the ballet was wonderful! I can’t wait to attend more events here
